TM Forum Alignment

The tSM platform is developed with a strong focus on TM Forum best practices and principles.
We follow the spirit of the Open Digital Architecture (ODA) and are aligned with the TM Forum Shared Information/Data (SID) model and the eTOM process framework.

Rather than strict one-to-one mappings, our approach is pragmatic and extensible: we adopt TM Forum models where they bring value, and extend them flexibly to address customer-specific requirements.

Standards Alignment

tSM ensures interoperability and standards consistency by:

  • Adopting SID concepts – our data layer reflects SID structures and semantics, while remaining extensible through the TMF Characteristics pattern.
  • Incorporating eTOM process principles – our workflows and processes are mapped to eTOM concepts where applicable, ensuring consistency with industry best practices.
  • Building along ODA guidelines – our architecture mirrors ODA principles of modularity, separation of concerns, and open interfaces, enabling smooth integration into wider TMF ecosystems.
  • Domain Coverage – our APIs and models are primarily aligned with the Product, Service, and Assurance domains, supporting catalog exposure, service design and fulfillment, and assurance/ticketing use cases.

This approach ensures tSM is both TMF-consistent and customer-adaptable.

Roadmap & Certification

ℹ️ Ongoing alignment with TM Forum initiatives

We will continue to strengthen our TM Forum alignment through:

  • Certification – tSM is on track to obtain the TM Forum Silver Badge.
    • This certification is largely a formal and commercial milestone, as our implemented APIs already pass RAND interoperability tests.
  • Progressive API Expansion – as the TM Forum standard evolves, we will continue to expand our API coverage across relevant domains.
  • Continuous Alignment – new modules and features will be designed with TMF principles at their core, balancing compliance and flexibility.

Vision

Our commitment to TM Forum standards ensures that:

  • Integration is simplified – operators avoid vendor lock-in and reduce integration effort.
  • Compliance is pragmatic – we combine TMF compliance with the flexibility required for real-world deployments.
  • Future alignment is assured – with continuous investment in TMF ODA, SID, and eTOM frameworks.

With this strategy, tSM delivers a platform that is both standards-aligned and future-ready, giving operators confidence that their systems remain interoperable within the TM Forum ecosystem.
